Executive Director – Michael Chaitow
Michael is an experienced organiser and campaigner who joins NIF Australia with deep experience in politics and Jewish community life. Most recently he’s been based in the US where he was director of digital strategy in NIF’s New York office and prior to that, led J Street’s campus engagement team, J Street U. Michael has worked as media adviser to the Hon. Linda Burney MP, and as a climate organiser for GetUp.
He holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, and a Master of International Law and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney. He graduated high school from Masada College, Sydney.

Director of Impact & Policy – Eve Altman
Eve has worked with NIF Australia since 2020 focusing on developing our New Gen (20s and 30s) community. She has previously worked for the Sydney Alliance, engaging local communities in policy action on climate change and affordable and renewable power solutions. Eve holds a Bachelor of Political, Economic, and Social Science from the University of Sydney, and was an active member of Habonim Dror, including Sydney's 2017 Director. Eve is a board member of Emanuel Synagogue.
Director of Programming – Max Korman
Max has experience working in the Jewish community, as education coordinator at Stand Up and in the leadership of Habonim Dror. Max holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
